Collage Workshop During the School Break as Part of the Exhibition “Edmund Kesting: Avant-Garde Artist” for Children Ages 6 to 12

What kinds of things can you make out of paper? In this two-day school break workshop with paper artist Katrin Röder, children will embark on a journey of discovery through the art of Edmund Kesting. Together, we’ll take a close look at his unusual collages and discover how he created exciting works of art using different types of paper, stamps, banknotes, folds, and other materials.

Afterward, participants will try their hand at cutting, tearing, folding, and gluing. From a variety of ideas, shapes, and materials, they’ll create their very own personal works of art. Everyone will design their own collage to take home as a work of art.

Feel free to bring: photos or copies of portraits or landscapes (A4 size), special favorite patterned papers, tickets, wrappers, labels, and packaging with text
