On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Kreativkathedrale TRUDI, in the former St. Gertrud parish hall, Viehofer Straße, will be transformed into an open dance floor with a lively mix of rock, pop, disco and indie from 4 to 8 pm. Free admission, donations are welcome.
The music ranges from classics to current sounds from rock, pop, disco and indie - danceable, energetic and intergenerational. The atmosphere is relaxed, barrier-free and respectful. The focus is on dancing as a communal experience. There is seating, quiet zones and friendly support on site.
With "Falten-Frei-Tanz", an Essen-based women's initiative in cooperation with the LeichtR association has created a new, inclusive dance format for people aged 60 and over in the secularized Trudis church in Essen's Nordstadt district.
