The 60+ generation has grown up with rock music - too old for the disco, too young for tea dances. If you fancy a change, music and dancing, come to stylish over-60s parties like this one!

About the concert

On Friday, 23.01.2026, Solingen's popular soul, blues and rock band "Downtown" will be making a guest appearance at COBRA - this time with a teary eye: it's the last concert of their farewell tour.

Anyone who wants to hear Frank Bönnhoff (bass), Harry Esser (guitar), Winnie Hassel (drums), Jürgen Spitzer (keyboard) and singer Hermann Daun live once again should not hesitate for long.

The program includes hits from the 60s to the 80s - a musical journey through the era of great oldie hits, rock classics and unforgettable soul moments.

The band

• Hermann Daun (vocals): Already known in the 60s with "Promotion Soul Concern", later under the name "Emotion" with regional hit "It's a man's world".

• Frank Bönnhoff (bass) & Harry Esser (guitar): First successes in the 70s at shows in 76 and 79; many years of experience with "Big El and His Rockin' Comets".

• Winnie Hassel (drums): Known from the band "Dark Rose".

• Jürgen Spitzer (keyboard): Participation in numerous bands and projects.

After 10 years of Downtown, an era is coming to an end. The musicians combine the music titles and feelings of their generation and want to celebrate once again with their audience, reminisce and forget everyday life.
