Sunday, February 15 is the 45th World Whale Day - a day that draws attention to the importance of whales and their current threats. To mark the occasion, Panometer Leipzig is offering exciting themed tours.

Whales are the largest creatures on earth - and in the ANTARCTIC they are real survivors! In this special tour for World Whale Day, you can immerse yourself in the world of humpback whales, orcas and blue whales. Using Yadegar Asisi's panoramic exhibition ANTARKTIS, you will discover the habitats and hunting grounds of these marine animals and learn how whales communicate with each other, how they court each other and what dangers they face. A special role is played by tiny crustaceans - called krill - which are a precious treasure for the whales. Find out why during this exciting family tour.

The monumental 360° panorama ANTARKTIS by Yadegar Asisi shows the icy expanse of the white continent in all its facets - from huge glaciers and shimmering icebergs to the fascinating animal world with penguins, whales and seals. The Panometer Leipzig is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
