Family Open Lab – Roboter, KI und Co.: Menschen und Maschinen im Team
In the organizer's words:
How will humans and machines work together in the future? Robots, sensors and artificial intelligence are already taking on many tasks today - from sorting to navigation. In this open workshop, you will explore what humans and machines are each good at and reflect on your own attitude towards technology and AI. Try out for yourself how robots process information, are controlled and react to their environment!
You can program, expand and test robots in small missions - and discover their possibilities, but also their limits. You will experience that people often approach tasks differently: with their own perspectives, assessments and spontaneous reactions. Finally, in the future ideas workshop, you will develop creative visions of how technology could change our bodies, our everyday lives and our society - and reflect on the possible social and ecological consequences of technological developments.
Unlike our traditional workshops, the drop-in format is open. We plan for you to spend around 20 minutes in the workshop area to get your first taste of the technology and the topic of the future. If it is particularly busy, not all participants may be able to try out all the stations. So be flexible and take the opportunity to get involved in the exciting topics!
We would like to thank the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA (Stuttgart) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Large Structures in Production Engineering IGP (Rostock) for their support in developing this workshop.
