G - OLD - IES:
An evening with hits, chansons & current pop songs to "SING ALONG" and "ENJOY"

We invite our guests to join us on a musical journey back to the great days of pop hits and chansons. We present a varied program with selected legendary oldies, sung by "legends" such as Hildegard Knef, Alexandra, Caterina Valente, Freddy Quinn, Udo Jürgens and others, which often became cult hits or "classic earworms". They are still very popular today and are listened to or sung along to again and again across generations. We also sing and play melancholy songs and songs with catchy melodies and German lyrics by current artists such as AnNaR. and Peter Plate or Peter Maffay. We also interpret current English-language pop songs and songs from the "American Songbook" in a "colorful" mixture of jazz, Latin and swing, including Cole Porter, Henri Mancini, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Paul Anka, Sting and Tracy Chapman.

All guests are invited to sing, hum and clap along to the songs they know - or simply sit back and enjoy the evening in a relaxed atmosphere.

"Fantastic Friends" are:
Alexandra Carter (voc, p), Musa Be Yauno (voc), Gerd Hallaschka (p, voc), Nelly Knobloch (voc), Martin Nehrig (b, voc), Rajmund Panicz (git, voc) and Alexandra Siebert (sax) - accomplished singers and instrumentalists from the Kassel music scene.
