Fee Aviv Dubois, Ralph Heidel, Izzy Ment, Shanice Ruby Bennett, Andi Haberl: “Before it’s over” For the Pop-Kultur Festival 2026, the curators have commissioned a special work titled “Before it’s over”: a band that will exist only for this one evening. In a world where music is available at any time, archived, shared, and endlessly reproducible, this project deliberately embraces transience. Fee Aviv Dubois, Ralph Heidel, Izzy Ment, Shanice Ruby Bennett, and Andi Haberl—five independent artists with diverse connections to a wide variety of projects—have collaborated in a safe space to develop a live set featuring improvisational elements. The result is a one-of-a-kind encounter: no subsequent release, no reunion, no replay on Spotify. Even the otherwise ubiquitous documentation on social media takes a back seat. The focus is on what happens between the stage and the audience—and what remains in the memory. The collaboration becomes a time capsule: more of a performance than a concert, more of an encounter than a product.
