Masculinities in the plural: What happens when we don't read masculinity as a rigid pose, but ask what lies beneath? Presenter Deniz Greschner talks to Burak Yilmaz about images of masculinity in the field of tension between racialization, origin, class and religion: How can sexism be criticized without reproducing anti-Muslim racism? What does pro-feminist masculinity mean in everyday life - and where are spaces created in which men can practice care, closeness, listening and responsibility without pathologizing biographies?

Yilmaz, who grew up in Duisburg-Obermarxloh, works with young people and developed the project "Young Muslims in Auschwitz". Experiences that he writes about in his book "Ehrensache. Fighting against hatred of Jews" from 2021. He received the Federal Cross of Merit and the Julius Hirsch Prize from the DFB for his commitment. His work opens up the view for intersectional alliances in which racialized men also become part of feminist change.
