“Maybe it’s all just a phase”—a phrase people say when they hope that restlessness will pass. On his new album *Phasen*, TONI places this very state at the center: the failure to settle, the constant moving on, the wavering between closeness and withdrawal, hope and self-doubt. Musically, “Phasen” blends modern German pop with urban beats, catchy hooks, and a voice full of vulnerability. TONI remains autobiographical yet open—his songs tell of personal experiences and yet—or perhaps precisely because of this—strike a chord with a generation caught between “situationships,” fear of commitment, and the longing to truly settle down.

We’re an alternative rock band that loves to fuse different musical genres, partly because contemporary guitar music rarely really impresses us anymore. We play exclusively our own “stuff” and only do covers at live gigs. Generally, we’re all deeply rooted in rock music from the ’70s to the ’90s, but we also regularly sneak in some poppier ideas when we’re writing. Anyone who sees us live is always treated to a hard-hitting yet diverse rock ’n’ roll cocktail, so put on your finest clothes and witness Frau König deliver a majestic performance!
