Feminist Imaginaries Festival

The Feminist Imaginaries Festival brings together feminist and LGBTIQ+ activists, artists, filmmakers, researchers, and policymakers from around the world to exchange ideas, strengthen solidarity, and jointly shape feminist visions of the future.

Through films, discussions, and creative workshops, the festival invites participants to take a break from the chaos of world events and think beyond the next crisis. It creates a space to recharge and develop transnational feminist visions of justice, care, and liberation for all.

Through a variety of different formats, the festival offers insights into feminist perspectives and experiences from around the world. Among other things, it explores how trans* activists in Latin America are creatively making feminism more inclusive, how feminists in South Africa are using community kitchens to cope with multiple crises, and how masculinity is being reimagined in Southeast Asia.

In addition to a film premiere, several interactive workshops, an exhibition, a “Hot Takes” booth, and a panel discussion, there will be numerous opportunities to engage in conversation with feminists from diverse backgrounds, forge new alliances, and find inspiration.
