CALL FOR A FEMINIST STRIKE

It is in our hands to change the world. The work we do in society puts us in a position of power: by refusing to do our work, we can directly disrupt everyday life and thus lend weight to our demands. This is about more than just a demonstration - because: "When we strike, the world stands still!". International feminist struggles, from the nationwide women's strikes in Iceland and the Basque Country in 2023, to the feminist uprising in Iran and the women's revolutions in Rojava, serve as role models for us: together we take to the streets for free and sufficient daycare places, for the remunicipalization of public services, against global wars, as well as for a gender-equitable distribution of domestic and care work, feminist healthcare and physical self-determination. As a feminist strike network, we are embarking on a feminist general strike, because it is urgently needed and will only succeed together.
