The new album "GOOD MOTHER" is about the feeling of facing various changes in different areas of life (career, relationship, society) and not being able to avoid them. Front rapper Fritz Fisherman shares formative experiences, talks about wrong decisions and captures the universal fears of this phase: Can I stay true to myself when everything around me is changing? How can I live up to my social responsibility? What if I'm not ready yet? Again and again, the record makes it clear that the stage of growing up is a far-reaching mosaic and is made up of various micro-processes.

In terms of sound, Ferge X Fisherman deliberately create a contrast to these feelings of urgency. Gospel choirs and soulful Rhodes chords make "GOOD MOTHER" sound warm and almost cozy, which is intended to make the musicians' own privilege clear. All the possibilities of their line-up, which includes rapper Fisherman and producer Ferge as well as several jazz instrumentalists, are once again wonderfully exploited on "GOOD MOTHER". And when this described coziness is broken, it is only ever to underline the aforementioned feeling of transformation.

"GOOD MOTHER" is a multidimensional coming-of-age album on which Ferge X Fisherman seem to be faced with an unsorted pile of changes and then use this excessive demand to their advantage - by juxtaposing the problems of the adult world with an embracing intimacy.

After numerous festivals in summer 2023 including Reeperbahn Festival, Mahagoni, Poolbar (AT), NUEJAZZ, Waves Vienna, Tapefabrik etc., Ferge X Fisherman & Nujakasha will play a compact album release tour in April 2024.
