Feridun Zaimoglu has been on the reading stage for more than 30 years, writes novels, short stories, plays and newspaper articles, but is also in demand for political and social debates in the media. He is also a visual artist. He has now been awarded the Walter Kempowski Prize for biographical writing by the state of Lower Saxony and is on tour through Lower Saxony's literature houses. Reason enough to ask how an artist's life is lived, in Kiel, as a "traveling artist" without a band and in the space between thoughts at the typewriter, on the train, walking and sitting in a hotel.

Feridun Zaimoglu reads a funny text, provides information, asks questions, talks to the director of the Literaturhaus about God and the world, practicing art, how to do your thing and what it costs.

Feridun Zaimoglu, author, screenwriter and playwright, has received numerous awards for his writing. Following Evangelio, Die Geschichte der Frau and Bewältigung, his most recent novel Sohn ohne Vater (Son without a Father) was published.
