JAM ACROSS & EXHIBITION BATTLE invites you to its third edition!
The event starts with a little warm-up jam where we groove to house music. This is followed by an exhibition battle - where four house dancers meet and engage in a non-judged exchange. It's all about the energy of the moment and the connection with the people around us. Afterwards, we take the experience of the exchange in the previous Exhibition Battle as inspiration for the following two hours. We want to dance, groove and have fun together!
House dance is a freestyle and social dance that emerged in the late 70s and early 80s in the African-American and queer communities in New York and Chicago. House combines a wide variety of movement cultures from tap, jazz and Latin dance to hip hop, breaking and martial arts. The exhibition battle is followed by the jam, a moment of free encounter between house dancers and all other people who like to move to this music.
The audience is invited to take part in this atmosphere by dancing or just watching.
