The starting point of the circular tour is the historic Braunsmühle mill in Kaarst-Büttgen, which can be reached individually via the nearby Kaarst-Büttgen or Neuss train stations. The French duo Mathis will put you in a good mood right at the start with their charming and crazy barrel organ act. The cultural cyclists are then greeted by rousing folk music from the Flemish ensemble WÖR in the Knights' Hall of Liedberg Castle , high above the rooftops of the medieval town. In Rheydt Castle, the only completely preserved Renaissance castle on the Lower Rhine, historical exhibits are brought to musical life and reveal all kinds of anecdotes from past centuries. After a courtly ambience, an inspiring stylistic break awaits in the Güdderath bunker when artist and host Bernhard Petz and his Niederrheinische Bläsersextett take to the stage between solid steel and concrete. NeoBarock transforms Haus Katz into an opera stage and traces the trials and tribulations of love in a crisp and entertaining Playmobil short format in a best-of from Rameau's opera hit "Les Indes Galantes". From here, the route continues to the church of St. Mauri in Hemmerden with the viol consort Phantasm before the tour reaches the finish after around 42 kilometers. For the finale, the Hombroich rocket station becomes an impressive backdrop for overtone artist and singer Anna-Maria Hefele, who enters into a spherical dialog with nickel harp and jew's harp.
