Festival Iberoamerican Dialogues

The Iberoamerican Dialogues festival celebrates its premiere in the Chamber Music Hall of the Philharmonie Berlin. On November 13, 2024 at 19:00, works by six outstanding composers from Spain, Costa Rica, Brazil and the Dominican Republic will be presented. This extraordinary event creates an intercultural dialog between the composers and the German audience and focuses on the diversity of contemporary Ibero-American music.

A dialog between musical creation and audience

The works of Spanish composers David del Puerto (winner of the Spanish National Composition Prize and the Gaudeamus Prize), Ismael García Daganzo and Gabriel Estarellas, the Costa Rican Eddie Mora, the Brazilian Sérgio Assad and the Dominican Darwin Aquino (winner of the National Music Prize of the Dominican Republic) are at the heart of the festival. These compositions will be performed by the German-Peruvian Lux Nova Duo, soloists Pamela Coats (clarinet) and Jorge Herrera Santander (guitar) and the Sinfonietta VivazzA ensemble from Cologne. Grammy award winner and conductor Eddie Mora, one of the most renowned Latin American conductors, will be in charge of the musical direction.

A presenter will guide the audience through the evening by introducing the works and the composers' stories behind them, thus creating a connection between the musical creations and the audience.
