Humorous and warm-hearted, "Fiesta" tells of the joy of all that lies ahead and of solidarity in turbulent times.
Nono's 10th birthday is a day of promise and the beginning of a golden future. That's why he's been planning a huge party since he was little, the party of all parties, the absolute best fiesta. His very best friends will be there and maybe he'll even kiss a girl on the lips... But then, in the middle of the preparations, a storm hits and threatens to devastate the whole country. Everyone has to stay at home and no one knows how long the storm will last. What will happen to Nono's birthday and the party he and his friends have been waiting for all their lives, the fiesta of their dreams? The children have to summon up all their courage and ingenuity to get together after all. Especially because Nono now knows that it could be his last birthday.
In "Fiesta", Gwendoline Soublin, winner of the 2022 German Children's Theater Award, transforms a birthday party into a celebration of life itself. Director Ebru Tartıcı Borchers brings this celebration to the stage.
