Jack's job involves deciding whether a well-known car manufacturer will carry out a recall. "You're not the car you drive." At home, Jack decides which shelf from a well-known Scandinavian furniture manufacturer defines his personality. "You are not the money in your bank account." In his private life, Jack decides which self-help groups of terminally ill people he attends in order to feel better. "You are not your problems." Everything changes when Jack meets two enigmatic characters, Marla and Tyler. Jack begins to peel away the supposed features of his identity like the skin of an onion. But what does he find at the core? Only those who have lost everything have the freedom to do anything.
