About the film:

Sandra is impulsive. Sandra is in jail. Sandra is also pregnant. A cinematic tour de force with a fantastically angry main character.

Very pregnant, Sandra sits in prison and fights energetically to keep her child with her after birth. But the social worker and the youth welfare office are skeptical about whether they can trust her to do that. They fear that if Sandra comes under pressure, she will fall back into old patterns and not be able to control herself. Only through flashbacks cleverly woven into the narrative do we learn how it could have come to this.
