Spring, summer, fall, winter - and some years have a fifth season: death. Siblings Miki, Bina and Ali learn of their Jewish-Hungarian mother's incurable illness in the shimmering summer heat, tearing them apart like colorful autumn leaves. Nevertheless, they set off with their mother on her last journey; her death is followed by a winter of grief and bad decisions, of drifting apart and alienation. In spring, they finally end up in Budapest, following in their mother's footsteps. And the family slowly begins to sprout again.

Katja Sallay, an actress, shot her multi-award-winning directorial debut based on autobiographical material mainly in Mannheim, including at the water tower, Luisenpark, the Kunsthalle, the Collini Center and the main cemetery.

The film will be screened as the Mannheim theatrical release.

Director Katja Sallay and cameraman Mark Dölling will be present at both screenings!
