“Paris, 2014. Sound engineer and DJ Céline is expecting her first child—but she isn’t pregnant. In a few months, her wife Nadia will give birth to a daughter. While Nadia works at the emergency dental clinic, battling nausea and shortness of breath, Céline practices taking care of babies with a colleague’s children. Is this chaos about to become her everyday life? Despite “marriage for all,” Céline must prove to the state—with 15 personal letters from friends and family—that she loves her child and is up to the task. As a pioneer, she must first fight for her place before the law and in the eyes of others—while also making peace with her mother, who has always gone her own way.
