"Dancing Heartbeats" accompanies the three dancers on their journey around the world. Between international battles and tough training sessions, Jilou, Frieda and Viola also pave the way for the next generation of young girls who want to prove themselves in the male-dominated world of breakdancing. An empowering and inspiring film about the courage to realize one's dreams.
Director Lisa Wagner studied theater, film and television studies, pedagogy and French (M.A.) in Germany, Italy, France and Canada. She completed her postgraduate studies in directing at the KHM in 2015, works as a freelance filmmaker, is co-founder of Pulver Film Produktion and develops her own documentaries and feature films.
