🇺🇦 Freefilmers is an independent film collective from Ukraine that tells the stories of the city, its people and their struggles. Their films show Mariupol before the invasion - a city full of creativity and life - and Mariupol after February 24, 2022 - under occupation, destruction and the attempts to preserve life and resistance.

This film evening brings together different perspectives: from everyday culture to the brutal reality of war, from individual stories to the collective experiences of resistance.

But Freefilmers is not just a film collective. Their work stands for resistance against colonialism, imperialism, capitalism and patriarchy. They document reality with a clear focus on life and the struggle for equality and freedom and promote independent film art as part of political culture.

💙 The screening will be followed by a Q&A with a representative of the Freefilmers.

All proceeds will go to Solidarity Collectives, a Ukrainian anti-authoritarian volunteer network that supports the Ukrainian resistance movement and helps people who have suffered from the war.
