The first French short film program at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg is all about change. The focus is often on one's own body: early pubescent Marlene struggles with her changing body until she encounters a tadpole on a school trip. Maya finds it difficult to let go of a birthmark that is to be removed. Teenager Nanni wonders about a strange growth on her face. Average-guy Joachim develops an obsession with the men who tone their bodies at the gym across the street. And grandma Maryse physically revives memories through music, while other metamorphoses take place on a mental level: 75-year-old Yvette still wants to get her pedal boat license. Hamid, a teenager living in Paris, is confronted with his Algerian identity when his father returns. And while trying to change her life, the privileged Zoe is confronted with Greta Thunberg and a turtle, among other things. Recommended for ages 16 and up
