Fischer Fritz

River fisherman Fritz is no longer fishing. The river is no longer giving it to him, and a stroke has also caused Fritz himself to falter. Franz, his son, who didn't want to stay in the country, now lives in the city, where he runs several hairdressing salons. He is unable to look after his father. But he is dependent on help and refuses to move into a care home. The two of them hire a caregiver from Eastern Europe. She has been dreaming of the wide world for a long time, but instead she comes to live with a stubborn old man in a fisherman's house in the provinces by a drying-up river. And getting into conversation with him is not easy at all. First the language barrier stands between them, then the stroke. Since then, Fritz has also lost his own language. And the speech exercises become increasingly difficult.

"Fischer Fritz" is not only spoken theater, but also spoken theater. Raphaela Bardutzky tells of the courage and strength of little people, the challenges they face, in foreign lands, in care, in growing old, in dealing with their own parents.
