In the organizer's words:

Feast, inform, have fun - the fish party once again attracts visitors to Bremerhaven's fishing port: this time, the table of Neptune, god of the sea, is richly set on the last weekend in April - for the 34th time in 2024. Numerous activities attract around 70,000 onlookers to the south of Bremerhaven every year and turn the spectacle into a major event. Fish fans and gourmets get their money's worth here.

Along the quay, white pagoda tents beckon on the "Fischkai International": this "white mile" is a "must" for all lovers of seafood delicacies, inviting you to stroll and feast.

The "marketplace" is more rustic, but no less tasty:

At the 4th German Fish Barbecue Championships, supra-regional teams compete for the title of "German Fish Barbecue Champion 2024" and a starting place for the German Championships 2025.
Entertaining films and authentic live barbecues are shown on an extra-large LED screen.

In taster cooking shows at the fish party on Saturday and Sunday, the team led by chef & fish sommelier Ralf Harms will provide insights into the new recipe world of the fish cooking studio.

Thefish party underlines the character of a "festival for everyone" with a colorful range of sales areas, confectionery and gastronomy stands with secluded summer gardens.

In addition to fish and delicacies, there is a colorful stage program with lots of music on both days : in addition to sailor and shanty choirs, groups from various musical genres perform during the day. The party continues into the evening against the incomparable maritime backdrop.
