READING AND DANCE PERFORMANCE - Rock music fused with flamenco

The flamenco dance school "La Perla Azul" is organizing a very special flamenco afternoon - it will present you with a diverse repertoire from the flamenco culture. Claudia-Maria Schneider will spoil us with her paella pan - culinary fitting to the theme. So there will be something to satisfy your hunger.

Flamenco - What makes it so special?
Flamenco is an expressive and powerful dance and music style from Spain that can lead you to your intense feelings. In November 2010, flamenco was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As a dancer, you discover your body as an instrument, because you help to shape the tempo and rhythm by stepping with your feet.
Flamenco can also be a release from depression, as it can bring aggression into balance. You can use the form and energy of the dance to confront and express your anger, hatred, fear, jealousy or sadness. But feelings such as joy, humor, flirting, passion and enthusiasm also find their appropriate space and expression in dance.

With our musical-literary performance we honor "Don Quixote", the knight of the sad figure and the Spanish poet Miguel Cervantes.

"Los Flamenquitos"
The passionate voice of the masterful guitarist Juan Fernández touches his enthusiastic audience with energy, emotion and expressiveness. Nusret Ismailov provides sizzling excitement with his powerful dance interludes very close to the audience. Steven Pfeffer enriches the musical performance with the multi-layered and delicate sounds of his sitar, which, in combination with the fiery sounds of flamenco, gives the group's performance a very successful nuance.
