The Flammer Dance Band's first proper European tour last winter was an absolute blast:
The heavy Afro-psychedelic band from the far north had already blown us away in early 2023 with their professional accompaniment of the mysterious "Funky" Rob from Ghana on his tour, but their own concerts were a cut above in terms of funkiness, stage presence and humor.

Flammer is led by a group of experienced breakdancers who perfected their moves years ago, rocking and popping to Afro-funk by Rob, Ebo Taylor and Fela Kuti.
The energetic 7-piece band is all about vintage synthesizers, spacey effects, hip-swinging grooves and headbanging breaks! Tight-ass rhythm and high-quality musicianship, paired with the freedom, spontaneity and energy of a jam band. While they are already household names in their home country, attracting hundreds of listeners (and spectators, as their shows are spectacles), we now want to spread the gospel of Flammer across Europe! Flammer first came to the attention of an international music-loving audience when they released their first 7-inch single "Mer / Holder Rytme" on their own label Lyskestrekk in 2020, immediately establishing themselves as a weird and wonderful band to keep an eye on. In the fall of 2024, they released their new album "Gynger", again on their own label, a mostly instrumental masterpiece of interlocking, funky guitars, wild percussion and occasionally mumbled vocals.

But as with all great bands, it's still best to experience this explosive collective live in concert.
