Luca Mael Milsch is an author and translator. After studying literature in Berlin and Hanover, Milsch initially worked in the program management of the Literary Salon Hanover. Milsch translates poetry and prose from English, most recently "Kinderspiel" by Claire Kilroy and "Wir waren Sappho" by Selby Wynn Schwartz. Following various poetry and short prose publications, Milsch's debut novel "Sieben Sekunden Luft" was published by Haymon Verlag in 2024. Milsch was a fellow:in the LCB's Prose Workshop with an excerpt from it. Milsch's work focuses on shame, guilt and silence as well as queer temporalities, 'crip time' and synchronicities as a narrative principle.
