Folk Masks of Latin America Workshop

Create your own expressive mask inspired by the rich traditions of Latin American carnival and folk art. In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore shapes, colors, and symbolism drawn from iconic celebrations, transforming simple cardboard into bold masks.

After choosing your reference, you'll design and construct your own mask using papier-mâché, clay, acrylic paint, and finishing materials such as fabric, wire, and thread. Guided step by step, you'll create forms inspired by folkloric traditions-animal, human, or hybrid figures.

Before each session, you'll receive visual references for inspiration. No prior experience is needed. All materials are provided-just bring your curiosity.

The workshop takes place on two consecutive Sundays: June 21. and 28. June, from 14:00 - 17:00 Participants must attend both sessions.

The workshop fee of 25€ includes materials. Food is not included but will be available to buy at SİNEMA HANE.
