The Folkwang Chamber Orchestra Essen bids farewell to the old year with an 80s party in a class of its own. Immortal songs from Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder and Phil Collins to Michael Jackson are on the playlist - rousing and soulful, groovy and in a completely new sound.
The perfect arrangements are once again by musical legend Heribert Feckler, who, after the acclaimed programs around Queen and ABBA, will once again celebrate New Year's Eve with the FKO and bring the concert hall at Zeche Zollverein to a boil at the end of the year.
The FKO will be joined by Feckler's show band and a vocal duo consisting of Bonita Niessen and Henrik Wager, and this line-up will elicit new timbres from the Eighties. Between the chart hits, Heribert Feckler intersperses lesser-known titles that are well worth discovering. Classics and favorite songs, nostalgia and party atmosphere: these are the ingredients for the perfect 80s party at the FKO's New Year's Eve concert!
