This edition of FOOD & FOOTAGE reflects on memory and (non-)representations of the body in contemporary art as spaces of resistance and care. The evening presents the new book Memory of the Body (CSN Lab collective, 2025), brought to Berlin from Yerevan. Co-authors Arsen Abrahamyan, Mariam Yeghiazaryan and Tigran Amiryan explore how bodies carry social and political memory - from Soviet to queer bodies, from pleasure to trauma, in post-war contexts and through decolonization.
Queer and feminist artists Amassia Niziblian ( corpo-real project) and lucine talalyan (film postDiY) present works that trace how bodies remember what has been erased from public space and media.
The program includes artist talks, a queer film screening and a book presentation by Armenian memory activists. Traditional Armenian delicacies from Café Arakil will be served during the event, including gata, baklava and tahini bread.
