Foodporn Kunst Ausstellung - Vernissage

On 24.08.2024 we are organizing the vernissage of our current foodporn exhibition in Mein Haus am See. We will be on site again with our camera and offer our guests the opportunity to have themselves photographed, we will bring accessories matching the theme of our exhibition. If that's not for you, you can get creative in our guest book or simply have a good time with us. DJ @drsvenska on the turntables will ensure a good atmosphere.

Foodporn is a joint project of the Supernova artist group gallery.

This is not just about photos of food, which have coined the term and the well-known hashtag #foodporn. With our image compositions, we playfully address various social issues such as sexuality, nutrition, gender roles and body mass index.

Sexual self-determination is a topic that has preoccupied many generations. Even in the most enlightened societies, sexuality is still a taboo subject, scandalized, censored and sanctioned. Furthermore, there are many societies in which women are still not allowed to feel pleasure in the 21st century and have to fear for their lives if they live out their sexuality freely.

Food and pleasure are linked. Who hasn't heard the saying "I want to eat you", in Spanish it's similar to "te quiero comer". "Food is the sex of the elderly" is a saying. I'm sure everyone has had "orgasmic food" in their mouth at some point :).

During our shoots, we placed a lot of emphasis on vegetarian food - most of the objects of our desire are even vegan. Our message behind it: vegan/vegetarian is sexy.

We also questioned gender roles in a playful way.

However, the focus of our project is clearly on pleasure, pleasure in food, pleasure in sex. Love doesn't just go through the stomach. We say YES to lust, love and passion and thus stand for life and a life-affirming attitude, colorful, frivolous and with lots of sex appeal.
