Fortbildung Wendo – Feministische Selbstbehauptung & Selbstverteidigung

The Wendo - Feminist Self-Assertion & Self-Defense training course is aimed at FLINTA* people who work in bars or restaurants.

There is a particular focus on practical strategies for setting boundaries and confidence in assault situations.

It would be desirable for employers to cover the costs of the
training as part of a safe working environment.

After all, female and genderqueer people behind the bar in particular
repeatedly experience boundary violations in everyday working life.

Sexualized slogans, discriminatory comments, harassing behaviour and
behaviour and aggression must not be normalized.

This training creates a clear counter-draft: it offers space to reflect on experiences, to transform anger and powerlessness into a clear stance and to specifically strengthen one's own assertiveness. Wendo offers a holistic feminist course concept that builds on the resources and experiences of the participants

The focus is on your right to set boundaries and say no
without having to justify yourself

Physical fitness or previous experience are not a prerequisite
for participation.

Course content:
- Feel your own boundaries and set them effectively
- Strong voice, body language and body awareness
- Effective defense techniques and self-defense techniques
- Input on patriarchal violence in the service sector
- Strategies for self-care
- Space for solidarity exchange and networking among colleagues

Goals:
- Strengthen your self-determination and self-efficacy
- Making your own scope for action visible and expanding it
- Teaching effective and easy-to-learn tools with which
you can use to protect yourself effectively

The course is given by a certified Wendo trainer.
