For over 20 years, Bandcommunity Leipzig e.V. has been dedicated to promoting the local music scene. It supports musicians, organizes events, connects key players, provides spaces for creative development, and creates opportunities for cultural participation. 
The exhibition brings to light the often-overlooked behind-the-scenes dedication and aims to contribute to the recognition of volunteer work in independent cultural initiatives. 
Over the course of two years, Leipzig-based photographers Jana Groß and Henryk Bies accompanied the association, documenting collective action, cultural participation, and creative processes through their work. 
The exhibition honors volunteer work as an indispensable part of independent cultural work and invites visitors to rediscover the diversity of volunteer engagement.
