Fotografie-Workshop »Kleine Tiere, große Wirkung – Insektenfotografie und Umweltschutz«

In the organizer's words:

Location: Gatehouse at the Outer Matthäus Cemetery, Bremer Str. 18

This one-day workshop is all about the fascinating world of insects and how they can be impressively photographed. Participants will first receive a clear introduction to the technical possibilities of insect photography - from smartphones and system cameras to DSLRs - and will also learn about the limits of macro photography. The practical part of the workshop will then take them to the grounds of the Outer Matthäusfriedhof cemetery in Dresden, where they will look for motifs together, try out image ideas and explore the best perspectives for still and moving insects. The workshop will be supplemented by brief tips on post-processing and a joint discussion of the images with a focus on nature perception and environmental protection.

The workshop is aimed at young people and adults with basic previous knowledge of using their own camera or smartphone camera. Participation is free of charge. The workshop will take place on June 21 from 10 am to 5 pm.

Workshop leaders: Daniel Bahrmann and Finn Eisenreich

Important: Please be sure to bring your own photographic equipment - i.e. camera or smartphone with battery and storage space; optionally also macro lens, close-up lenses, tripod or a small reflector.
