At the beginning of the year, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes played shows in Cologne and Berlin with their new album "Dark Rainbow" - and they have just played a club show in Saarbrücken before heading back to the festival stages here in Germany. But as we all know, after the tour is before the tour and so all fans from Hamburg, Leipzig and Munich can now look forward to Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes coming back to Germany in the fall with their latest album and all the classics in their luggage. Their latest album focuses on self-reflection and musical development, creating an exciting mix of southern gothic balladry and alternative rock. This search for identity and the wisdom gained from it lend the music an emotional depth and complexity that is fascinating. Singer Frank Carter, known with a body full of tattoos and former frontman of Gallows, is reflective: "The whole concept and what it meant was always this glamorous moment, but ultimately - when I put on that suit - it didn't work very well for me." So with the anthemic track "Man of the Hour", they surprised everyone by not being a usual punk smasher that gets the whole room vibrating, but instead take a critical look at the concept of being a rock star in this day and age and show a character we can all relate to. "I'm just watching the world change so fast, and I'm still trying to figure out who I am and what the authentic version of me is. By giving people what I thought they wanted, I think I've gotten further and further away from who I actually am." Carter shows his versatility and uncompromising nature as a musician. One thing is certain: for Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, music is not just about melody, but above all about attitude. With their new album "Dark Rainbow", it seems as if they want to take a step back and reflect - on themselves, their masculinity and their impact. Fortunately, they don't take a step back at their live shows. Because the effect of their wild stage shows, as with songs from "Drugs", "Parasite" or "Crowbar", is their standard.
