Hirsch Heinrich presents a real highlight in September:
Freddy Fischer & His Cosmic Rocktime Band
The Grandes Messieurs des Disco are coming to us with new songs and old hits: 70s disco, love songs, hits and schmaltz at its best. Simply very good entertainment music from Berlin.
If you're not yet familiar with Freddy Fischer and his Cosmic Rocktime Band, you might need a few pointers. So you hear a groove, but one that is drawn straight to the dance floor. And disco. And the casual elegance of a Manne Krug in the seventies - who even gave the GDR something like swing - at least for the moment. Add to that a glitter ball full of disco, all wrapped up in a chic tuxedo, and there you have Freddy Fischer!
The music is tight. It glitters and makes just as many notes as you need to get the party people pumping on the dance floor. And always love and pain. You can call that pop or not. The fact is that sideburns, horn-rimmed glasses and Hammond organ are rarely this cool!
