Uncompromising artist, passionate lover, gifted sculptor, a genius unrecognized by her time and a woman broken by her demons at the end of her life: Camille Claudel led a spectacular life. Her independent spirit, wild temperament and unconditional creative urge led her to repeatedly run up against the social limitations of her time. In captivating images and with emotional songs, a magnificent Regina Speiseder plays out the cosmos of Camille Claudel.

Actress Regina Speiseder and director Katrin Aissen have approached this extraordinary artist, who was far ahead of her time. Letters from and to Camille Claudel and her own texts were edited by Katrin Aissen for the stage version. Regina Speiseder plays and sings songs by Claude Debussy, among others, who played an important role in Camille Claudel's life. The actress is accompanied on the piano by Manuel Heuser, whose music also provides the atmospheric soundtrack for the evening.
