Fremdkörper

In the organizer's words:

The exhibition Fremdkörper brings together the artistic positions of Alice Tillack, Stefanie Thiele, Justus von Karger and Lise van Wersch for the first time at the Fabrik der Künste. The artists are linked by a generational proximity and a long-standing exchange, which is now visible for the first time in a joint exhibition.

The four artists enter into a dialog about identity, proximity and belonging. In painting, sculpture and installation, the body becomes a projection surface - for control and surrender, for resistance, exhaustion and fear. The works revolve around the unfamiliar in the familiar and open up a space in which intimacy and distance can be felt simultaneously. Fremdkörper invites us to get involved and not to avoid what is irritating.
