Freund*innenschaft Ausstellung - Kuratorinnenrundgang
In the organizer's words:
Friendship as a relationship emphasizes commonalities. It highlights affinity, similarity, and a shared spirit. It brings people together as parts of the same social world—spatially, but almost more importantly, mentally. This perspective offers a hopeful framework for thinking, especially in uncertain times,
and, at the same time, a beautiful guide to action. The artists in this group exhibition draw our attention to the relationships we form in everyday life: with neighbors, club and band members, coworkers, classmates, and family members.
They explore friendship as a source of strength, creativity, and empathy, but also of tension and compromise. The expression is often playful and humorous, while at its core lie existential questions
—about what defines us as human beings and the social network into which we are embedded. In close collaboration with the artists, spaces are created where visitors can explore, experience, and savor friendship.

The artists in this group exhibition draw our attention to the relationships
we form in everyday life: with neighbors, members of sports clubs and music bands, coworkers, classmates, and family members. They explore friendship as a source of strength, creativity, and empathy, but also of tension and compromise. The expression is often playful and humorous, while existential questions remain at the center—questions about what defines us as human beings and what connects us to a wider social network. In collaboration with the artists, we create spaces for visitors to question, experience, and enjoy friendship.
