Friedl Kubelka / vom Gröller - Nicht daheim und doch zu Hause

In the organizer's words:

Friedl Kubelka has made a name for herself internationally with her conceptual photographs and experimental short films - Friedl vom Gröller as a filmmaker since 2009. However, it is hardly known that she has also been drawing and painting since the beginning of her artistic career around 1970.

She has created more than 100 drawings and gouaches that have rarely been shown to the public. These small-format fantastic-realistic works on paper are among the artist's most personal: intimate, rich in detail and surprisingly colorful, they tell of life, death, love, lust, jealousy, isolation, joy and also exuberance in all their alloys.

A selection of the works on paper will be shown in this exhibition with a few minutes of film.
