PICK OF THE DAY

You cannot miss this event.

In the organizer's words:

Bill Leeb formed the electro-industrial band in 1986 after he left the industrial group called Skinny Puppy. The latter band was formed in 1982. Many music fans and experts considered the band to be one of the main pioneers of the music style known as “electro-industrial.” The initial concept was to treat it as an experimental project. They eventually evolved into a full-time band.

The band’s debut album was released on an independent Belgian record label called KK in 1987. It was produced on a shoestring budget, which determined whether it would be released on an eight-track cassette system with either two or four tracks per side.

The albums *Corrosion* and *Disorder* were released in 1988 by Third Mind instead of the Canadian label Nettwerk. These two albums were later re-released with three bonus tracks on the compilation album *Convergence*, which came out that same year. Along with *Gashed Senses* and *Crossfire*, they form the core of what is now known as “The Wax Trax Years.”

In Vienna, FLA will perform a set of their early songs. Rhys Fulber will also play an opening set.
