He was a cartoonist, commercial artist, costume designer, opera conductor and the most popular television comedian of his time. In his pictures and scenes, he takes everyday situations to the extreme. To the amusement of the audience, his protagonists repeatedly fail at banalities, conventions and everyday conversation. Silvia Ferstl and Christoph Ackermann present more than just a potpourri of his most beautiful sketches. The evening interweaves Loriot's life with his work and social developments - from the Iron Cross to the honorary professorship, from the first drawings to the great cinema successes, from emancipation to the media revolution.
