Fuchs & Stadler: "Flux" // KONZERT am Sa. 6.7.24 19h im o-ton

Christina Fuchs and Florian Stadler, a very fine musical duo, are coming to o-ton. Their workshop concert promises chamber music finesse and a delicate, communicative but also virtuosic and colorful chamber play.

"Accordionist Florian Stadler and saxophonist, clarinettist and composer Christina Fuchs have been an unparalleled musical couple for many years. They move with ease and great intensity through the unique world of their compositions and seem to know no technical boundaries. Whatever Fuchs and Stadler start is always a musical dialog: they can play fast and loud. They can groove, but much more important to them is the sound, merging sound structures, filigree sound fabric or in free, sometimes wild, always intensely interrelated improvisation, with breathtaking turns from total fusion to total individuality. Their exciting playing is effortless, intimate, fun and humorous."

They were recently at the Deutschlandfunk Chamber Music Hall to record their new album. The music on the album, entitled "Roots & Rhyzomes", is largely improvised, based on sketches composed by Fuchs and Stadler. They gradually developed these sketches into complete pieces.
Their current album "Roots & Rhyzomes" symbolizes their different musical roots and unites their blind understanding of each other. This understanding allows their ideas to grow together like an interwoven network and merge into a coherent overall picture.

The live concert will be recorded with sound and vision.
