Führung: index.kollektiv Volume 1

In the organizer's words:

The artists of the index.kollektiv talk live about their pictures and projects.

"With index.kollektiv, we want to combine social issues, justice and photography." - Carmen Körner

In the Volume 1 exhibition, the index.kollektiv photographers take a look at the changing identity of Russian immigrants in Europe, growing up on a self-sufficient farm and the connection between mental illness and art, among other things.
The works shed light on the living conditions of people at home and abroad with individual focuses and approaches. What unites the works is the personal connection to the projects.

Annelene Warnecke, Carmen Körner, Catharina Cerny, Chayenne Freitag, Cynthia Ruf and Oxana Guryanova examine how individual themes and the past influence the current thoughts, feelings and lives of their protagonists.

"Even though we work in different directions photographically, we are united by our values and our sensitive view of the social issues we make visible." - Annelene Warnecke & Catharina Cerny

The index.kollektiv, consisting of six documentary photographers of different age groups who have been working together since 2022, is dedicated to social issues through diverse perspectives in order to explore and present social aspects.
