FULLAX present an EP in May 2026 that makes it strikingly clear where the band is heading: away from the narrative indie rock of their last album and towards a more concentrated, club-oriented language. The mixture of dry drums, French house references and those deliberately overdrawn 70s strings seems surprisingly unagitated and more like a pragmatic change of style than a grand gesture. The themes of mindset, luxury and self-optimization do not appear as criticism with exclamation marks, but as small breaks in the hooks: ironic, but not cynical.
The single "Du willst es" shows this principle most clearly: a loop that hardly promises anything and works precisely for this reason. Minimal, but with a clear message. "Weh" moves between rock band drive and French house shimmer and manages to maintain pathos and distance at the same time. "Côte d'Azur" deliberately overdoes it briefly, only to put its own fantasy into perspective at the end. "Pullover", on the other hand, opens up a space in which the EP sound suddenly seems very close and unpretentious.
With their short "Nicht mehr Weh" release tour, FULLAX are bringing this reduced but pointed concept live on stage. The new songs seem to have been made for it: direct, accessible, without pandering. A tour that will show that the band continues to experiment and is not afraid to think outside the box.
