The recently VIA Award-winning indie label FUN IN THE CHURCH is celebrating a wonderful Christmas.
The Berlin trio YELKA presents its new album"Krieg und Ferien" (release date 27.10.2023).
It is the third album by the hard-working combo in 2023, who are well on the way to keeping their daring promise (10 albums in four years). The cover artwork is by the congenial Swiss artist Chrigel Farner."Krieg und Ferien" concludes the band's first trilogy, so to speak, and scores particularly well with a cover version of the Münchner Freiheit hit"Tausendmal Du" and the extra-long funk improv"Weltende" based on Jakob van Hoddi's poem from 1911:

"Most people have the sniffles.
The railroads are falling off the bridges."

The Leipzig duo FASTMUSIC, who have been friends with YELKA since their joint gig at the Pudelclub in Hamburg in April, will also be scoring points. FASTMUSIC will certainly be presenting new songs, as their first album is still in progress, diametrically opposed to YELKA's creative frenzy. Opposites attract.
