Fun Lovin' Criminals & Rude Boy plays Urban Dance Squad
Double pack for the 25th anniversary of "100% C
With the EP "The Roosevelt Sessions" the Fun Lovin' Criminals have released new material for a long time.
Following the departure of Huey Morgan, charismatic multi - instrumentalist Brian 'Fast' Leiser, once a founding member of the trio, has taken over lead vocals. 'Fast' and drummer Frank Benbini also recruited guitarist Naim Cortazzi (formerly of Happy Mondays) to once again complete the Fun Lovin' Criminals trio.
Formed in 1993, the breakthrough followed with the release of their debut album "Come find yourself" in 1996, and not only in the New York music scene. The album received platinum awards worldwide and the debut single "Scooby Snacks" was also an international success, among other things it lasted 17 weeks in the American Billboard charts.
The Fun Lovin' Criminals skillfully combine hip hop, rock `n` roll, blues-jazz and Latin soul with clever story telling.
Now that founding member Brian 'Fast' Leiser is back on board, new material will continue to be released since the last release "Classic Fantastic" in 2010. But in the fall, the band will first go on a big tour through Europe to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album "100% Colombian".
On the anniversary tour the Fun Lovin' Criminals will not celebrate alone: Rude Boy will be part of the party and will play a complete Urban Dance Squad set. The MC of the Urban Dance Squad, which disbanded in 2006, will be supported by the original DJ DNA.
