The 2nd album of the Hamburg punk band Fun Total is called "Da ist gar nichts".

"Da ist gar nichts", no stability, no "firewall", no ideal world behind closed curtains, no security, just the calm before an even bigger storm.

Musically, anger, fear and despair are expressed as one would expect from local punk bands socialized with Wipers, Wire and EA80. HC and 90s emo/indie influences can also be heard. But despite all the variety, the album remains stringently offensive. Between some tricky parts, a desperate middle finger smiles at you.

The band has been around for several years, but while the first album "Tristesse" was more or less a retrospective of their first longer creative phase, the 10 songs on "Da ist gar nichts" were written and recorded in a relatively short space of time. It feels compact and Fun Total are rightly very happy with the result.
